$8.5 million for failure to properly manage a high risk pregnancy and perform a C-section when requested by the labouring mother in a timely manner

Pacific Medical Law obtained a $8.5 million settlement for a baby who suffered a severe brain injury at birth as a result of the failure of the attending medical team to properly manage a high risk pregnancy, perform a C-section when requested by the labouring mother in a timely manner, and properly resuscitate the baby. The baby was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
