Jessica Kim

Lawyer

Jessica Kim is a lawyer whose practice is focused on representing individuals who have suffered injuries as a result of medical malpractice. At Pacific Medical Law, Jessica has been involved in medically and legally complex cases concerning catastrophic injuries. Jessica joined the firm after graduating from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, where she won the Marilyn Moysa Award in Health Law for her attention to women’s health issues.

Prior to law school, Jessica obtained her Master of Health Administration from the UBC Faculty of Medicine, and was employed at the UBC Centre for Rural Health Research and the SFU Centre for Research on Early Child Health and Education. Her decision to represent plaintiffs in medical negligence litigation was influenced mostly by the rewarding experience she had while working with patients, and her dedication to improving patient safety.

Jessica is a recognized community leader and has volunteered for over 25 non-profit organizations in her lifetime. In law school, she served as the President of the UAlberta Chapter of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, promoting equity and diversity in the legal community. In 2013, Jessica founded Musician Impact Network Society, a registered BC non-profit organization that provides free music performances to healthcare facilities. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys playing cello and trying new recipes at home.

Jessica is fluent in Korean.
