Physical activity guidelines are evidence-based, systematically developed exercise recommendations for the maintenance or enhancement of performance, fitness, or health. The World Health Organization (WHO) exercise guidelines recommend at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity, or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity, per week plus muscle-strengthening activities two times per week.
The United Nations' International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated annually on December 3. Last week George Stroumboulopoulos examined the barriers that persons with disabilities face in Canada every day. He identified 12 key facts and figures about having a disability in Canada.
